In today’s world, original ideas are rare; what we often see are concepts that have been reshaped, repackaged, or redefined. It’s essential to recognize that throughout time, someone has likely thought of or created something similar to what we encounter now, even in technology, which builds upon the remnants of earlier innovations.

This post examines the historical facts regarding the Islamic invasions of Europe and the Middle East, suggesting that Jewish communities may have played a role in these events out of hatred of Christianity. It’s important to acknowledge that rejecting Christ implies an opposition to Him, called antiChrist, and this perspective is not antisemitic; instead, it aligns with a belief in Jesus.

From the very beginning, Islam has pursued a singular mission: to undermine and eradicate Christianity. When Islam emerged with its demonic origins, Christianity already thrived in the Middle East, having flourished for centuries through Jesus’s peaceful teachings. This narrative emphasizes the necessity of understanding the truth about history, including the serious conflicts instigated by Islamic forces against Christianity, Europe, and the West.

During the era of Christopher Columbus, Spain had just regained its sovereignty from Muslim domination. The Islamic incursions inflicted immense suffering—rape, murder, and terror—on Spanish and European lands as they spread their ideology of hate and violence. The veracity of Islam falters under scrutiny; its failings incite devout followers to establish what they term a Caliphate, imposing conversion or death upon non-Muslims.

Brett, in the video, urges us to understand the threats posed by those who have invaded our nation and Europe, noting that our ancestors recognized these dangers and acted on them. He further claims that upon defeating Islam, Spain expelled Jews, who were perceived as collaborators in the Muslim conquest. This provocative assertion warrants exploration, as understanding our history can guide our present and future.

As Brett notes, not every Muslim or Jew seeks to destroy Christianity or the Western way of life. However, a substantial group—elites among Islamists and Zionists—harbors intentions to eliminate Christianity. In their worldview, the absence of Christianity would allow their Abrahamic faiths to flourish, yet without acknowledging Jesus’s truth, malevolent ideologies may proliferate.

A disturbing aspect of this discussion is the painful irony that Jesus is Jewish, and his mission initially focused on informing Jews that He is the Son of Man. Despite this, a veil of disbelief clouded their eyes, fueling historical tensions. Judaism and Christianity share roots in the same God, with the latter heralded in the Old Testament or Torah, creating a bridge that could unite rather than divide us. How disheartening it must be for God to witness this fragmentation, especially when Islam presents itself as a rival ideology created by Satan.

Subscribe now

Learn History!

Christian Sheepdogs

Brock Mergist

Islamists are openly telling us what they will do and are doing. Without the miraculous resurrection of Jesus, Christianity would not have flourished as it has. Many people personally encountered Jesus during His life—seeing, hearing, and experiencing His teachings and miracles. When the news of His resurrection emerged, it ignited a fervor among His followers that spread like wildfire. Even in the face of persecution and the threat of death, countless believers remained unwavering in their faith, enduring incredible suffering rather than renouncing their Savior. This enduring truth still leads to persecution for Christians worldwide today. Yet, despite these challenges, Christianity continues to thrive, even in places where it is met with opposition. The truth of Jesus is unstoppable and will always prevail.

Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet

'3Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, 4rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. 5Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. '

John 13:3-5

In John 13:1-20, we witness the profound moments of Jesus's final day on earth, where He chooses to be fully present with His disciples, teaching and serving them until the very end. This significant occasion coincides with Passover, a time that commemorates God’s ultimate act of deliverance, marked by the tenth and final plague upon Egypt—the death of the firstborn. God instructed Moses and Aaron to guide the Jewish people in sacrificing an unblemished lamb, symbolizing purity and salvation, to be eaten on the fourteenth day of the month. This act foreshadows a greater sacrifice and invites us to reflect on the depth of divine love.

1The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, “This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you. 3Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb 21according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household. 4And if the household is too small for a lamb, then he and his nearest neighbor shall take according to the number of persons; according to what each can eat you shall make your count for the lamb. 5Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats, 6and you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs at twilight.

Exodus 12:1-6

Furthermore, God instructed Moses to mark the doorposts with the blood of the lamb, ensuring protection for the families within. Many Egyptians who recognized and followed these divine instructions were also spared, demonstrating God’s mercy towards Gentiles. This act underscores the importance of faith and obedience during times of trial.

7“Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it. 8They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted on the fire; with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it.’

Exodus 12:7-8

As I deepen my relationship with Jesus and immerse myself in scripture, I find myself continually in awe of God’s immense love, compassion, and grace. This passage feels even more relevant today, particularly in a society that endorses the tragic act of abortion, sacrificing innocent children who cannot defend themselves. Whether for the sake of profit through organ harvesting or any other sinister purpose, such actions are nothing short of despicable and evil.

Furthermore, we witness a disturbing trend where children, perfectly created in God’s image, are encouraged to mutilate their bodies to conform to fleeting fads. Adults are now attempting to reframe the language around pedophilia and are pushing for legal acceptance of such abhorrent behaviors. Our political leaders often release rapists, murderers, and child predators back into our communities, allowing them to inflict pain once more.

While it brings me comfort to know that God will ultimately hold these evildoers accountable, I find myself grappling with how to effect meaningful change in our society—one that recognizes the inherent value of each individual as God’s child. Christians must rise and proclaim our righteous beliefs now more than ever. Our silence only amplifies the voices of evil. If anyone thinks Christians should abstain from discussing political issues, they inadvertently contribute to the problem. We have remained silent for too long, and the consequences resemble the moral decay of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Subscribe now

He Is Risen!

Jesus, Son of God

Brock Mergist

Share

The Resurrection’s Importance

Resurrection Day stands as the pinnacle of the Christian calendar, undeniably one of the most significant days, if not the most significant, in human history. If the resurrection of Jesus Christ did not occur, then Christianity is nothing but a false and lifeless faith. Conversely, if Jesus did rise from the dead, it would solidify the claim that all other religions are misguided and without truth. It is that simple.

While many faiths acknowledge Jesus as a prophet, they often deny Him as the Son of God; some don’t recognize His significance at all. However, the evidence for His life and resurrection is not derived solely from Biblical texts; secular historical records support it. The Romans, known for their meticulous record-keeping and pagan beliefs, documented events that align remarkably with the Scriptural accounts. Archaeological discoveries around the Mediterranean Sea further affirm the truths reflected in both Roman and Biblical history, showcasing the unwavering validity of the resurrection narrative. No other belief system has faced such relentless scrutiny and attempts to reject its truth as Christianity has.

Today, we won’t delve into the intricate historical, literary, and archaeological evidence that validates Jesus as the Son of God. Instead, we celebrate Him as the Son of Man, because He Is Risen!

Yesterday was April 6, 2026, which brings to light a remarkable milestone—1,993 years since most scholars believe Jesus’ death on April 6, A.D. 33. For nearly two thousand years, skeptics—be they pagans, Jews, Muslims, or modern progressives—have sought to undermine Christ’s identity. Yet, with each attempt, the glory of Jesus grows ever brighter.

Consider researching the Shroud of Turin, which showcases the enduring impact of Jesus and reveals how God continually provides new evidence for our understanding and faith. In a world that often shouts, “trust the science,” where misrepresentation prevails, God employs genuine scientific inquiry to bring forth astonishing revelations from a 1,993-year-old linen cloth that astounds the world and helps prove the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Subscribe now

The Resurrection A.D. 33

1Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.

Matthew 28:1-3

An earthquake, a phenomenon corroborated by modern technology, shook the ground as an angel of the Lord descended from heaven to roll back the stone. Could this earthquake be linked to Jesus’s resurrection? The power of Christ rising from death shook the earth. We may never know for certain, but one thing is clear: the angel opened the tomb not to release Jesus but to allow the two Marys and the disciples inside. Without that stone rolled away, who would have known of His resurrection? The dramatic earthquake and the appearance of the heavenly angel served a vital purpose for the pagan guards, ensuring that even they could witness the divine event. The following verse recounts how those guards—who Pilate had approved at the request of the Pharisees—were so overwhelmed by fear that they fainted. These vivid details, meticulously documented in Scripture, played a crucial role in igniting the Christian Nation from the moment of Jesus’ resurrection to His eventual return.

‘4And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. 5But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he Some manuscripts the Lord lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” ‘

Matthew 28:4-7

Scripture vividly recounts how the angel of the Lord reassured Mary with the timeless words, “Do not be afraid.” This divine message was not just a greeting; it heralded the miraculous news of Jesus’ resurrection and tasked Mary with a significant mission — to share this incredible news with the disciples. Imagine her running, heart pounding with a mix of fear and excitement, eager to inform those closest to Jesus. In a beautiful display of divine intimacy, the risen Christ chose to reveal Himself first to Mary and the other Mary, affirming her vital role in this transformative moment.

It’s striking that Jesus appeared to women, knowing the societal norms of His time saw them as second-class. This choice carries profound significance and a powerful message: that all people are valued, regardless of societal standing. When Jesus instructs Mary not to be afraid again, it emphasizes His compassionate nature. As Mary worships Him, clinging to His feet, we can almost feel the weight of her emotions — all she had witnessed, believed, and hoped for was validated in that extraordinary moment. Then, in a stunning display of familial love, Jesus calls His followers His brothers, inviting us into a profoundly intimate relationship with Him. This statement should ignite a fire within us to honor and pursue Jesus with unwavering devotion. How humbling it is that the Creator of the universe calls us, His cherished creation, brothers and sisters!

Simultaneously, the dark figure of Lucifer, filled with arrogance after misleading humanity into betrayal and orchestrating Jesus’ execution, is now confronted with the devastating truth: Jesus is alive. The very love Mary experienced is the weight of dread that burdens Satan’s heart as he realizes his catastrophic error. The storm is approaching, and he scrambles, using deception to manipulate the elite into suppressing the truth. This incident serves as another testament to the reality of Christ’s resurrection, exposing the lies and bribery that protect such deception. In our lives, we too encounter choices between what is difficult yet right or what is easy yet wrong. The guards, bound by their pagan beliefs, succumbed to Satan’s influence.

Lucifer’s methods are destruction, deception, and distraction. He couldn’t allow the truth to emerge, for that would spell defeat in his relentless battle. The narrative that Jesus’ disciples stole His body at night not only questions the guards’ competence but also implies severe repercussions, as failure in the Roman army could lead to death. The elites’ willingness to offer protection to the guards speaks volumes about the lengths they would go to perpetuate this falsehood. Fortunately for us, Jesus is wiser, and He already set the plan in motion before He created anything or anyone. The chilling question emerges: why would the Jews go to such great lengths to spread lies? Jesus was a Jew. Why would their disbelief against Christ continue to this day? Embracing doubt in Christ places one in opposition to Him; to deny Him is to stand against the very essence of truth, it’s anti-Christ.

'15So they took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews to this day. '

Matthew 28:15

The Great Commission

'18And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”'

Matthew 28:18-20

The critical mission before Jesus’ return is a powerful reminder of why Satan is in turmoil. As Apostle Paul notes, Satan had seized control of the earth, manipulating the Pharisees, Scribes, and Sanhedrin to impose human laws that contradicted divine commandments. Then Jesus enters the fray, triumphing over death, and, as the Commander of God’s army, He entrusts His disciples with one final mission—one that continues to resonate today: to go forth and make disciples of Jesus Christ. This directive embraces all nations, transcending races, religions, and both genders. We are called to baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—the Triune God. Our responsibility is to teach and embody the teachings of Jesus. This calling is our source of courage, our unwavering strength, our spiritual armor; for Jesus has assured us, “And behold, I (Jesus) am with you always, to the end of the age.” Jesus is our steadfast partner, the one who will remain by our side when challenges arise, and others may forsake us. We must commit ourselves to live by a higher standard—His standard.

Subscribe now

Judas to Betray Jesus

Resurrection Week

Brock Mergist

Share

“Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. Judas witnessed incredible miracles: blind men receiving sight, deaf men hearing, and mute men speaking. He saw Jesus cleanse lepers and even raise a man from the dead. Yet, despite these extraordinary signs and miracles, Judas’s faith faltered. This lack of belief provided Lucifer a foothold in his heart, leading him to destruction.

Satan’s ultimate goal is to destroy Jesus. He instructed them to journey through all Jewish cities, proclaiming that “the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” They were entrusted with remarkable tasks: healing the sick, raising the dead, cleansing lepers, and casting out demons. These twelve ordinary individuals, often seen as unworthy, were called to undertake a monumental mission that seemed insurmountable without divine intervention, which Jesus granted them. Imagining myself in their situation, I would feel a mix of empowerment and trepidation facing such a daunting task, along with a profound sense of humility and excitement knowing that Jesus chose me for this incredible challenge.

Then, Jesus starkly reminds them, “I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves.” Here’s the moment where the uplifting message takes a serious turn. He candidly reveals the harsh realities of being His follower. This truth remains relevant today, as Christians have faced relentless persecution since Jesus walked the earth and sacrificed Himself for our sins. He warns them of impending trials—they may be flogged and brought before kings, governors, and Gentiles. Friends, family, and foes may betray them. Yet Jesus offers reassurance: there is no need for anxiety, for the Holy Spirit—the third person of the Holy Trinity—God Himself—will be with them. This persecution arises from Lucifer’s relentless animosity towards Jesus. Satan will go to great lengths to undermine anyone who follows Him. The path of Jesus began with suffering, and this struggle will persist until His return.

As Christians, we must be acutely aware of the perils that accompany our commitment to Christ. Our calling is to make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to uphold all that Jesus commanded us to do. Throughout history, Christianity has endured unique and continuous persecution, facing opposition from every other religion and governing body. We are called to be bold and unwavering in our mission to declare Jesus as Lord.

Subscribe now

Matthew 4:4

The Temptation of Jesus

Brock Mergist

Share

But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Matthew 4:4 (ESV)

Matthew 4 opens with the powerful moment when “Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.” Through this passage, God is teaching us how to defeat Satan in our own wilderness experiences. It’s significant to note that Jesus was guided by the Spirit, reminding us that the Triune God operates in perfect unity.

As Jesus fasted for forty days and nights, Scripture highlights His hunger, illustrating a profound truth: Jesus, fully human, faced exhaustion, hunger, and weakness. Our personal wilderness can often mirror this struggle. Yet, despite these challenges, Jesus turned to prayer and leaned on God for strength.

When the devil seizes the opportunity to tempt Jesus, he strikes at His hunger. This serves as a reminder that Satan seeks to exploit our vulnerabilities. He urges Jesus, the Son of God, to use His divine power to transform stones into bread—an act that would momentarily satisfy His hunger and showcase His might. However, Jesus responds with wisdom, recognizing that while physical sustenance is fleeting, the words of Scripture, of God, are eternal.

When we encounter temptations, especially in our moments of weakness, we too must turn to prayer, immerse ourselves in Scripture, and adhere to God’s teachings. This is the key to defeating the tempter and emerging victorious in our own wilderness journeys.

Subscribe now

Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart

Brock Mergist

Verse to Ponder: Trust in the Lord

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Throughout my journey, I have often found my heart straying from righteousness, and I realize that following Jesus is a continual struggle against the evil forces that seek to lead us away from God. Give it up to Him.

How often do you find yourself trying to take control of your life, only to face setbacks? For many of us, it happens more times than we care to admit. The most fulfilling moments in life come when I genuinely let go and place my trust in God to guide me. We must be eager and intentional in seeking the Lord, allowing Him to steer our path. Even when we feel lost, He gently nudges us toward righteousness; the choice to respond is ours.

In every facet of our lives, we should openly declare our love and submission to Jesus. Simple acts—like praying while driving, holding the door for a stranger, or saying “God Bless you” to someone you encounter—can make a difference. We don’t need to flaunt our faith; Jesus teaches us to pray in secret, for God understands our hearts. He reminds us that all humans, both born and unborn, are His children, and He gave Himself for each of us.

Consider how our society treats God’s children: acts of murder (abortion), mutilation (transgender procedures), abuse (the LGBTQ+ movement and the trafficked), and horrific acts of torture (like rape and child trafficking). Pedos are running the streets freely, and some of our leaders are among them—third-world criminals rape and murder when they should be in prison. Our leaders remain silent, often because they are influenced and funded by those who perpetuate these evils. Greed and pride dominate their decisions. Many Christians hesitate to speak out, thinking it’s too political to address the teachings of Jesus. Yet, the Bible instructs us on how to engage in the political arena and resist injustice. data-component-name="ButtonCreateButton">Subscribe now

Isn’t God All Good?

As Christians, we often encounter the challenging question posed by non-believers: “If God is so pure, righteous, and kind, why is there disease (or cancer, murder, so much evil) in the world?” This isn’t just a rhetorical question; it’s a sincere inquiry that merits our attention. By secular individuals, I refer to anyone—regardless of religion, political affiliation, or personal belief—who does not recognize the existence of the Triune God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

It’s understandable to wrestle with this question, and many of us have faced it during our Jesus Journey. I have even struggled at times with how to express the answer clearly. The truth is simple: the answer lies in the concept of SIN entering the world. We could conclude this letter right here, as that statement encapsulates the answer. But what does it truly mean to say this?

As with many profound truths regarding God, the answer is layered and complex. Jesus often spoke in parables, and His disciples—thankfully—were eager to seek clarification. When they asked Him why He chose to teach this way, Jesus revealed that only those prepared to see and hear would grasp the meaning. This revelation is a powerful insight that deserves our reflection and exploration. Let’s delve deeper into this concept together.

It’s crucial to grasp the reasons behind Jesus’ teachings and the depth of His responses. Understanding His approach reveals the profound insights He intended to share:

The Purpose of the Parables

10 Then the disciples came and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” 11 And he answered them, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance. Still, from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:

“‘“You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.” 15 For this people’s heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’ 16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. 17 For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

Matthew 13:10-17 ESV

Share

It captures a serene early morning on the beach, where the sun rises gently over the horizon. As the sun ascends, the waves begin to crash in, a little faster and with more intensity. The scene is breathtaking, embodying beauty, peace, and raw power all at once.

In that moment, I couldn’t help but reflect on how closely this imagery parallels our, what I call, our Jesus Journey. The warmth of the Son envelops us, whispering, “I am with you today.” The calming sound of the Holy Spirit breaks upon the shore like gentle waves, a powerful reminder that He is always present when we reach out to Him. The light before us forms a guiding bridge, leading us along a path that only a loving Father can illuminate.

God’s presence surrounds us—providing warmth, guidance, and protection. The sunlight reveals a narrow path, guiding us home. The waves symbolize the trials we face on our way to the narrow gate, reminding us that the journey may be fraught with obstacles and challenges. It is clear why so few find their way home. This journey requires commitment and faith, but the promise of what lies ahead makes every step worthwhile. Embrace the journey, for it is one that leads to everlasting joy.

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”

Matthew 7:13-14

Subscribe now

I’ve discovered a simple yet powerful strategy to deepen my connection with God, and I genuinely hope it resonates with you as well. In a previous letter, I shared a glimpse of this approach, and the positive feedback inspired me to elaborate for everyone’s benefit. The essence of this strategy is to maximize our daily tasks, but in a meaningful way. Our lives can feel overwhelming, constantly pulling us from one obligation to the next, as if time is merely a commodity. However, we have the opportunity to embrace a different mindset—one that Jesus exemplified so beautifully. By living fully in the present moment, we can find joy and purpose in our daily activities. Let’s take a cue from Jesus’s example and cultivate a life rich in purpose and faithfulness. The strategy is not pick one idea per week or month. It is best to use it by mixing a few at once or in pairs.

The Strategy:

Pray

Read

Memorize

Fast

Meditate

Silence

Creation

Strategy Explained

PRAY:

pray without ceasing,

1 Thessalonians 5:17 ESV

It really is that simple—pray without ceasing. Whether you’re driving, walking, in the midst of a meeting, or taking a moment between calls, make prayer a constant in your life. Embrace it during times of joy and in moments of challenge. The key isn’t perfection; it’s consistency in your communication with God.

Jesus reminds us that He is our only mediator between God and ourselves. We don’t require anyone else; all we need to do is pause and speak from the heart, and God is listening. In Matthew 6:5-15, Jesus instructs us on how to pray, offering a powerful blueprint for our conversations with God.

Throughout scripture, we see Jesus retreating to quiet places—the forest, wilderness, mountains, or a garden—to pray and connect with the Father. If Jesus, the embodiment of perfection and divinity, made time for solitude with God, how much more should we strive to do the same?

Enhance your prayer life by integrating it with other strategies. For instance, pray during your walks while fasting, intertwining your prayers with memorized verses. This combination can deepen your experience and connection with God.

Share

Read:

But He answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Matthew 4:4 ESV

The act of reading and memorizing scripture holds profound significance, as Jesus Himself powerfully demonstrated during His first temptation in the wilderness. In Matthew 4, we see Jesus led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness, specifically to face the devil’s challenges. This deliberate choice by Jesus underscores a vital lesson for us: He willingly entered this trial so that we could learn from His example.

Satan, knowing when we are most vulnerable, approached Jesus only after He had fasted for 40 days and nights—a reminder that spiritual attacks often come when we are at our weakest. Jesus responds to this formidable adversary by relying on scripture, teaching us the necessity of having God’s Word close to our hearts during moments of temptation. Thus, when the enemy strikes, we must immerse ourselves in the truth of scripture.

Incorporating reading into the practice of memorizing scripture, fasting, and appreciating God’s creation can amplify our Jesus Journey. Picture this: every morning and evening, take time to read the Bible while memorizing verses, perhaps even outdoors with your shoes off, connecting deeply with God. This practice not only fortifies our faith but also strengthens our resilience against the challenges we face.

Memorize:

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

Psalm 119:11 ESV

Memorizing scripture is a transformative way to strengthen your faith and equip yourself with spiritual armor when faced with temptation or sin. By committing a few key verses to memory, you can be prepared to offer guidance and support to friends or even strangers in need, allowing you to share God’s love and wisdom in an instant.

When you find yourself battling temptations like anger or adultery, recalling specific verses can steer you back toward righteousness. Imagine facing a difficult decision at work—having a memorized scripture in your heart can give you the courage you need to navigate the situation confidently. Whether you recite that verse silently during a meeting or before entering a challenging conversation, you’ll find that these scriptures suddenly come to mind when you need them the most.

Jesus encourages us to internalize His Word so that we are equipped to defend our beliefs in a world full of challenges. Combining Bible verse memorization with other Godly practices can create powerful moments of connection with Christ.

Start by reflecting on a verse that speaks to you as you read this. Open your Bible, write that verse down multiple times over the next few days, and consider saying it out loud during a walk or meditating on it quietly. Invite the Holy Spirit into your space and ask for guidance to help you discover the verses that resonate most with your journey. Embrace this practice, and watch your faith deepen and your ability to navigate life’s challenges improve.

Fast:

“And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Matthew 6:16-18 ESV

Fasting is the powerful foundation upon which Jesus began His ministry. After His baptism by John the Baptist, the Bible recounts in Matthew 4 how the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to face the devil’s temptation. Satan appeared only after Jesus had fasted for forty days and nights. The Bible says that Jesus was hungry; we can assume He was also fatigued and vulnerable, yet He chose not to tap into His divine power to alleviate His suffering.

This moment serves as a profound teaching opportunity. Jesus boldly proclaimed that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from God. In embarking on the greatest ministry known to mankind, Jesus embraced fasting and found strength through prayer in the wilderness. The message is unmistakable: fasting is a potent spiritual discipline.

Throughout scripture, Jesus consistently modeled a life of prayer and fasting, highlighting their inseparable connection. By incorporating meditation and moments of silence into this practice, we unlock even greater spiritual depth. Fasting reveals a crucial truth: while our bodies can endure without physical nourishment, our spirits cannot thrive without spiritual sustenance. The evil one is always lurking, ready to exploit our weaknesses.

In essence, fasting fortifies our faith in God, preparing us for the ministry He calls us to do. Let us embrace this powerful practice and be ready to confront the challenges ahead with renewed strength and conviction.

Meditate:

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Joshua 1:8 (ESV)

This technique should not be mistaken for secular meditation. If you search online, some yogi might lead you astray. Meditating with God is a profound experience of deep devotion with our Lord. We come before Him seeking wisdom, discernment, and knowledge, humbly inviting the Holy Spirit to guide our body, mind, and soul. Our meditation can encompass moments of reflection on job opportunities, the joy of a potential new child, significant life decisions, or even those seemingly small concerns. Remember, God is omnipresent—there is no request too small or too immense for Him.

Begin by finding a quiet space, whether indoors or amidst the beauty of God’s creation, and sit upright. Start your meditation with the Our Father or a specific and meaningful invocation. Close your eyes and concentrate on God. While you pray, take the time to confess your sins and repent. Consider taking a leisurely stroll in a peaceful, serene environment. This gentle walk can profoundly enhance your sense of calm and overall well-being. Approach God as a child coming to a loving father, eagerly searching for truth and understanding. He is your compassionate and caring Father—speak freely, let your thoughts flow, and don’t hesitate to express your heart. You can use this time to memorize scripture by repeating the verse or passage.

It’s vital to remember that after pouring your heart out, you must also listen. This often-overlooked part is crucial—ask and then wait for the response. Pay close attention. If your thoughts wander, gently redirect them back to your prayer and your request. You will recognize God’s voice as it aligns with biblical teachings—holy and reflective of His will. It’s important to remember that even if you don’t receive an answer right away, patience has value. Trust in God’s perfect timing; everything unfolds as it should.

Meditation can seamlessly intertwine with prayer, moments of silence, and the beauty of creation. It complements any of the spiritual techniques we discuss. The key takeaway is to integrate meditation into your daily or weekly spiritual practice. Embrace this transformative journey and deepen your connection with God.

Subscribe now

Silence:

But the Lord is in his holy temple; let the whole earth be silent in his presence.

Habakkuk 2:20 CSB

Embracing silence is akin to meditation but offers a distinct approach: it involves intentionally sitting in stillness and quietude. It’s an opportunity to engage deeply with your senses—be it taste, smell, sounds, or even sight if you choose. Begin this transformative practice by calming your mind. Find a comfortable seat in your prayer room, and have a notebook and pen at hand. Settle in, close your eyes, and center yourself.

Start by acknowledging God as your savior, your guiding light, and your source of wisdom. Affirm your dependence on Him: “I am nothing without You.” Follow this with, “I am nothing without,” then, “I am nothing.” Continue with “I am,” and finally, just “I.” Allow these thoughts to dissolve, and let your senses awaken. If your mind begins to wander, gently redirect your focus back to God with these affirmations. Remember, Jesus is your center, your heart, and your guide throughout this journey.

Dedicate 10 to 15 minutes to this practice, gradually increasing to 30 minutes, and prepare to experience a profound rush of divine love. In a world saturated with screens and endless distractions, we find ourselves pulled away from spiritual connection. This sacred time is your chance to reconnect with your Creator and reclaim your focus.

Consider taking this practice into the beauty of God’s creation, where your senses can truly thrive. While praying or memorizing scripture can be enriching, the ultimate goal is to be still with God, inviting His presence to fill your heart and soul. Embrace this time, and let it transform you.

Creation:

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:1 ESV

God has gifted us a stunning playground to explore and cherish. Step outside and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of God’s creation. Whether you choose to walk, hike, go backpacking, camp, stargaze, run, sit quietly, or play, make it a point to venture out! As you soak in the wonders of creation, take a moment to express your gratitude to Him for this magnificent masterpiece. Thank Him for crafting this space where you can revel in the joy of solitude or share experiences with your spouse, children, or friends.

Engage in prayer along the way—whether in your heart or aloud with your compatriots. Reflect on the awe-inspiring landscapes and pause to appreciate the unique features and breathtaking vistas that surround you. Remember, this isn’t about rushing; it’s about marveling at the world around you.

Embracing God’s creation can beautifully complement the other strategies we’ve discussed. Above all, let gratitude and thankfulness be at the forefront of your heart. Dive into this experience with wonder and appreciation for God!

BONUS: Journalling:

Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.

Proverbs 3:3 ESV

I struggled to incorporate this as the seventh strategy, combining meditation and silence. Honestly, I haven’t been consistent with this technique, despite hearing inspiring sermons and having friends and pastors who profess its effectiveness. I’ve tried it myself and can attest to its power. By cataloging your day, you can highlight moments of divine victory and acknowledge areas of struggle. This practice not only helps you recognize how God is actively involved in your daily life but also provides a personal log to reflect on your journey with Jesus at different milestones.

One pastor shared a poignant story about how, after marrying his wife, they revisited their journals together. This experience revealed the beautiful threads that connected their paths—a testament to divine orchestration.

Whether you choose to write a heartfelt prayer or reflect on a verse you’re learning, you can adapt this practice to fit your morning or evening routine. I encourage you to give it a try; you might discover that journaling becomes a transformative tool for your spiritual journey!

Share

Core Missions: Protect God's Children and Islamic Awareness

Enemies Within

Brock Mergist

Share

Core Mission

From the very start, we at Christian Sheepdogs have been unwavering in our mission: to protect God’s children and to shed light on the perils of Islam. Our focus remains steadfast amid a society inundated with evil. These malevolent forces aim to distract us, trapping humanity in a cycle of fear and uncertainty. As Christians, we are called not to worry about tomorrow, as Jesus reassures us in Matthew 6:34. Yet, it can often feel like an uphill battle when the world appears to be spiraling into chaos. It’s crucial to hold on to the promise that Jesus is destined to triumph.

In the Gospels, Jesus marveled only twice—first at the disbelief of His own people in Mark 6:6, and second at the profound faith of a Gentile centurion who sought healing for his servant in Matthew 8:10. These accounts illustrate two contrasting responses to faith: the skepticism of His hometown and the unwavering belief of an outsider. We must choose faith over fear; we must believe wholeheartedly in Jesus’s second coming and His protection over us.

The Bible warns us that the world will indeed become more challenging before Jesus returns. But this does not mean we stand by passively as evil extends its reach. Our mission as Christians—commanded by Jesus Himself—is to make disciples of all nations actively. Let us rise to this challenge with conviction and purpose.

Mission Statement:

We are dedicated to empowering our Sheepdogs to spot, monitor, and enlighten threats from the enemy. By providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge, we will enable them to recognize and stand firm against both physical and spiritual adversaries. Our mission is to educate, strengthen our defenses against imminent attacks, and present actionable steps we can take today to push back and remember that God is the ultimate target of these assaults. As with all our missions, we emphasize loving the sinner while hating the sin. It is essential to put on God’s armor by meditating on scripture day and night, standing strong and courageous, and actively making disciples to advance God’s Kingdom.

Protect God’s Children

The recent release of the Epstein documents raises critical questions about why it has taken so long for this information to reach the public. Why are some individuals walking free? Why do so many remain indifferent? Are our government officials truly taking action, or are they themselves compromised? If someone is guilty of these heinous crimes, they must face justice. Are these documents being withheld long enough for the statute of limitations to expire? Epstein’s arrest in 2009 exposed some of these abhorrent acts, so why are we only now uncovering the full extent of this issue 17 years later? It’s time for accountability, yet many politicians choose to remain silent. Accountability should be at the forefront of everyone’s minds and actions.

Epstein has forced us to confront the dark reality of human trafficking. This issue runs far deeper than any of us could have imagined, revealing that those involved are not just shadowy figures in the underbelly of society but include our leaders, royalty, and the extremely wealthy. We must act decisively now. We need to elect principled Christian men and women who prioritize their commitment to God over personal gain. We must cleanse our corrupt government and hold all accountable.

Let’s start writing letters to our local, state, and federal elected officials. We must advocate for the removal of judges who allow predators to remain free. This fight for Jesus and freedom is our moment—our Sam Adams moment. When tyranny looms large, making a mockery of accountability, it is up to us to demand justice. We must follow the money; it will lead us to the real culprits. Who is financing these crimes, and how are they amassing their wealth? Even the most conservative politicians are accepting funds from dubious sources. That’s why we propose a salary cap—or contribution cap—for political campaigns. Presidential candidates should have a $20 million fund to run; gubernatorial candidates, $15 million; federal candidates, $10 million; state candidates, $5 million; and local candidates, $3 million. This cap will level the playing field for all candidates.

Commercials should have a fixed price; if one candidate runs an ad, all candidates should receive equal airtime. A year before the election, candidates must participate in a monthly debate on a specific topic, detailing their plans for the public. This monthly debate schedule will help eliminate the influence of kingmaker donors, special interests, and foreign money in our elections. Candidates caught accepting foreign funds should face imprisonment, and the country that interferes would incur a 2,000% tariff on all goods entering or leaving the United States for 12 months.

Children are the heart of our nation. As Christians, we must embrace Jesus’ teachings and fiercely protect His children. We must purge our classrooms of evil influences and fill them with Christian values. Let us stand strong and courageous!

Dangers of Islam

Islam is dangerous because it is the exact opposite of Christianity. It is a cult that Satan created to destroy God’s plan. That is a fact. Look into the actual words and teachings of this oppressive religious-political organization, and you will quickly find faults. Islam plagiarized from the Old and New Testaments, then added its own material that contradicts them. It makes no sense, and when followers question the issues, they are murdered or exiled. With modern technology, we can now translate these false writings into our native language to see the evil. The Quran and Islam can only be written in Arabic. Silly, I know, but this was due to the lies it tells. If a conquered nation of Islam can’t read the book, how can they question? Since the beginning, humans have questioned things. Satan knows this; he hides his greatest writing in an obscure language so no one can read. The two greatest contrasts of Christianity and Islam are the number of people attempting to disprove them and the speed and vastness with which they grew.

Consider the sheer number of organizations, political movements, non-profits, governments, and religious groups that are actively trying to undermine Christianity and Christians. The list is endless, driven by a disdain for the truth. As advancements in science and archaeology continue, we find more evidence that aligns with Biblical truths. In fact, secular writings, artifacts, and historical figures consistently corroborate what the Bible teaches. Throughout history, every time someone has attempted to disprove the Bible, they eventually come to believe in its message.

While it’s true that Christianity may lose some followers over time, this often results from human influences rather than the teachings of Jesus himself. If you talk to someone who has turned away from faith, you’ll often hear that an individual or a pastor led them astray. These human failures highlight the importance of reading the Bible and understanding the words personally.

When we examine the scrutiny aimed at Islam, the number of those trying to disprove it is remarkably lower. Despite the larger number of Christians compared to Muslims and secular individuals, few actively challenge Islam. The reason is straightforward: those who take a closer look often uncover issues that Islam cannot brush aside or refute. Truth is incredibly resilient; it can only be concealed for so long before people begin to see through the facade. Lies, on the other hand, can be hidden and rationalized for a time, but their exposure ultimately leads to their downfall. Life has taught me that those who shout the loudest often have the most to hide. It’s worth asking ourselves: who are these loud voices, and why are they so unwilling to let others share their perspectives?

The second point to consider is the contrasting ways in which Christianity and Islam spread. Christianity took root through the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. He embodied love and grace, yet his mission brought division. To those outside the faith, Jesus may appear as a pacifist—a misconception that can mislead and confuse. In truth, Jesus was far from a pacifist. He famously overturned tables in the temple and confronted those who challenged Him. His boldness in speaking the truth won Him the admiration of many, but it also drew the ire of the elite. Sound familiar? Jesus instructed His disciples to carry their swords for defense, not for conquest. Despite being arrested, He remained steadfast, even when Peter reacted violently, cutting off the ear of the high priest’s servant. Jesus rebuked Peter, reminding him that He could summon a legion of angels to fight if He chose to. Yet, He had a higher purpose in mind: to sacrifice Himself for humanity—His greatest creation. People, both Jews and Gentiles, flocked to Him, and His teachings spread like wildfire, transforming lives across the globe in just a few centuries.

In stark contrast, the rise of Islam was marked by unconventional beginnings and significant challenges. The narrative begins with a troubling encounter: a man of low morals, a pedophile, claims to have met a supernatural being in a dark cave. His wife suggested it could be an angel, and when he sought confirmation from a Jewish Pharisee, that Pharisee told Muhammad that it was indeed an angel. However, we must remember that, according to Revelation 12:4, Lucifer—often identified as Satan—was once a high-ranking angel who fell from grace, taking one third of the angels with him. This fall of evil angels means that a demonic entity influenced Islam’s inception. Satan constantly strives to mimic God’s intentions, seeking power and influence, yet his efforts always betray his shortcomings as a leader. This foundational narrative raises important questions about the origins of belief systems and their implications for followers.

Both Christians and Jews recognize the consistent message of divine angels: “Do not be afraid!” Those who encounter an angel of God experience comfort and clarity about their purpose. In stark contrast, Islam is destined for turmoil. The origins trace back to the moment when Abraham took Hagar, his wife’s servant, and had sex with her. This sinful, disobedient act led to the birth of Ishmael, whom God promised to bless with a great nation, as detailed in Genesis 16. However, this blessing came with a warning: Ishmael was destined to be “a wild donkey of a man,” living in perpetual conflict with others, and they with him. This lineage ultimately gave rise to Muhammad. Muhammad’s initial efforts to spread his teachings met with limited success, and when he faced resistance, he resorted to violence. After Muhammad’s death, his followers documented his teachings, leading to the creation of the Quran, but only a hundred years later. Subsequently, the spread of Islam was marked by coercion, with acts of violence--rape and murder--used to expand its reach, including the disturbing practice of taking young brides only for their supposed benefit.

Islam remains primarily a regional influence, utilizing vulnerable and corrupt individuals to expand its presence in America. While this expansion takes place, Christianity is experiencing remarkable growth in Iran, highlighting a profound shift in the religious landscape.

Throughout history, people have yearned for freedom and liberation from oppression. Christianity embodies this spirit of freedom and joy, while Islam often represents a different narrative that can lead to discord. As followers of Christ, we hold a profound opportunity to guide the lost souls searching for truth and light. It’s our responsibility to reach out to those who are open to the message of love and redemption. At the same time, we must also be resolute in protecting our nation’s values through deportation and strict laws against Islam.

As a nation rooted in Christian principles, we must prioritize these beliefs and remember that many nations in the Middle East were once founded on Christian tenets. We believe it’s vital to preserve our identity as a Christian nation while recognizing that diversity of nations, languages, and cultures has its place, but not necessarily within our borders. The story told in Genesis 11 reminds us that God intentionally scattered humanity into distinct nations for a purpose.

Let us engage in prayer, fasting, reflection, and the silent moments that connect us to our divine purpose. Together, we can strive to illuminate the path for others. God bless!

The Christian Sheepdogs sincerely appreciate your visit and are truly grateful for your engagement with our letters. To combat this fear, it’s essential to anchor ourselves in the Word of God. Memorizing Bible verses can deepen our relationship with Him and serve as powerful reminders of why we need not be afraid. Remember, fear is a tool used by Satan to distract and discourage us. Yet, God calls us to be bold and courageous in the face of our fears. Let’s embrace that challenge and hold fast to His promises.

And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

Matthew 8:26 ESV

for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

2 Timothy 1:7 ESV

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Philippians 4:6 NIV

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

Psalm 56:3 ESV

I sought the Lord, and he answered me and rescued me from all my fears.

Psalm 34:4 ESV

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:7 ESV

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. We pray, and our hearts ache for the American citizens who lost their lives in this heinous act. Such tragedies should never occur. As followers of Christ, we are taught to pray even for our enemies; thus, we pray for the soul of this misguided individual, ensnared by a dangerous ideology.

Reports indicate that the assailant displayed an Iranian flag and donned a shirt bearing the name of Allah. It is crucial, however, that as Christians we do not react and hate Muslims. They, too, are children of God, and many Iranians reject the violence of radicalism and yearn for peace. We must support their efforts to reclaim their nation's governance and restore civility.

To our politicians: this act of terror is on your hands. Texas has witnessed the influx of millions of illegal immigrants, facilitating the construction of mosques. History shows that many mosques have been used as operational centers for evil activities. We must demand accountability from our politicians for the murders, rapes, and violent crimes inflicted on American citizens by illegal or undocumented immigrants. Critics may label this perspective as harsh, but the truth can be uncomfortable. As Christians, we must reject the normalization of evil and combat it with our votes and our voices. These distractions are designed to captivate our minds, making it difficult to focus on any single issue. Behind every challenge lurk individuals intent on perpetuating these grievous acts.

We must carve out time to turn inward and quiet our minds in the presence of the Lord through silence. We need to consciously eliminate the chaos around us by sitting in stillness, reflecting, praying, and truly listening. It is essential for each of us to discover the purpose God has in store for us and to commit ourselves to fulfilling it with unwavering obedience, diligence, and a spirit of mercy, grace, and kindness. We can embody both strength and compassion, for we have been granted grace and mercy as sinners by God Himself.

To navigate these tumultuous times, we require discernment, wisdom, and knowledge. This is attainable through prayer, diligent study of the Bible, and fasting—practices that Jesus modeled for us. As we strive to draw closer to Him, we must remember that we are not immune to attacks from evil, especially when we courageously confront it by becoming closer to Jesus.

When we stumble, let us not succumb to shame nor let Satan’s temptations weigh us down. Instead, we must acknowledge our failures, repent earnestly, and humbly seek God’s forgiveness. Then, we rise again to continue the fight. Islam and Israel has escalated into a war for truth against Christianity. In addition, Secular Progressivism and Communism are mounting attacks on our faith, further sowing confusion in the world. Compounding this tension is the troubling reality that Christians are openly fighting among themselves over the true identity of who the chosen people of God are. It is disheartening to witness our brothers and sisters engaged in loud and angry disputes, as the fear looms that both external and spiritual forces are at work.

In confronting such discord or when faced with false prophets, it is crucial to pose three fundamental questions:

Who is your God?

Who is Israel?

Who must you please?

These questions can guide us back to a clearer understanding and unity in our beliefs.

Who is God?

Christians embrace the profound truth of the Triune God: one God existing in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This divine mystery was present from the very beginning; when God created everything, then humanity, He said, “Let US make man in OUR image” (Genesis 1:26). The use of “us” underscores the unity within the Holy Trinity.

Jesus underscores the Holy Trinity in the Great Commission, where He commands His disciples in Matthew 28:16-20 to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” We believe that Jesus is not only the beginning but also the end—He was present at creation, the flood, the calling of Abram, and throughout the Old Testament. He fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament and completed God’s divine master plan through His sacrificial love.

His death on the cross served as the ultimate blood sacrifice, transforming the course of history and revealing the depths of God’s grace and love for humanity. For several millennia, humanity has turned away from God, and time and again, He responded with compassion and love. Despite our failures, God comes running towards us when we seek Him, exemplified through the life of Jesus. In His time on Earth, Jesus demonstrated how to live righteously and encouraged us to seek transformation within our hearts before extending His kingdom. Consider how many times you would willingly forgive someone who has wronged you, offering grace despite their sinful ways, the pain they caused you, and the evil they done to you. We believe Jesus conquered death, rising three days later, revealing Himself to His disciples before ascending to sit at the right hand of the Father—He is our King and the supreme commander of God’s army.

After His ascension, He left us the Holy Spirit to guide, comfort, and protect us on our journey through life. This final piece is the essence of the Christian God: three in one, omnipresent, overflowing with grace, and accepting love. It’s crucial to recognize the varied yet similar perceptions of God. Not everyone subscribes to the truth of the Triune God; some may hold partial beliefs about Jesus or focus on other figures. Some believe in Satan but not Jesus. Some oppose Christianity outright and want to destroy Christians and Christianity at all costs. While some may resist the message of Jesus, our role is to share God’s word with them; ultimately, the outcome is in God’s hands. Be curious, ask questions, and listen intently. If they resist, we shake the dust off our feet on the way out of town, trusting in the evidence we possess—spanning thousands of years, backed by both religious and secular discoveries and scholarship. Think deeply about which religion faces the most scrutiny; it often reflects the truth—after all, the enemy opposes what is real. We should engage thoughtfully with people from all walks of life, whether they are Jews, Muslims, Progressives, Communists, or fellow Christians. By listening intently to their beliefs, we can gain valuable insight into their values and morals. It’s through these conversations that we can not only understand one another better but also articulate our faith with greater clarity and conviction.

Jews regard Jesus as a prophet but do not recognize him as the Messiah. Within the Jewish community, there are varying beliefs about Jesus and the Virgin Mary, and cultural attitudes from that time were certainly unsympathetic towards women who bore children outside of marriage, or towards a man who married such a woman. Many Jews tend to stop their exploration of faith after the Torah, but they should continue to read the New Testament. Some harbor intense animosity towards Christians, with a desire to undermine our beliefs, and others remain indifferent.

When discussing Christian faith, it’s essential to understand the backgrounds and sects of the Jewish individuals involved. Those who are resistant to Christianity are often close-minded to the New Testament and stuck on the Old Covenant. It is crucial to note that the old covenant does not signify that God has abandoned them; rather, it is a narrative of how, repeatedly over thousands of years, the Jewish people have strayed from God. This disobedience is documented in the Old and New Testaments. We shouldn’t judge them for this, as we, too, falter in our faith as humans. Instead of shunning them, we should offer understanding and compassion, remain steadfast in our beliefs, never bend a knee to them, and always speak the truth.

God still has a purpose for the Jewish people, and they play a vital role in the prophesied return of Jesus. The old covenant highlights that the divine plan has always centered around Jesus—fully human and fully divine—who came to live among us, to teach, to heal, and to extend grace to all of humanity, whom He cherishes deeply. While we may fail Him, we must remember that God is eternally true.

Our role is to listen to their narratives, cultivate compassion, speak Biblical truth, and engage their hearts. Jesus acknowledged that many would reject Him, describing the path to heaven as narrow, traversed only by a few. Our mission is to guide those who are lost towards the truth. While those who persist in disbelief may be identified with the Synagogue of Satan and antichrist, we must approach them without judgment or hostility. Instead, let us stand firm in our faith, offering love and truth without compromise.

Islam acknowledges Jesus as a significant prophet, but its followers do not see him as the Savior. The origins of Islam emerged centuries after Jesus’ resurrection, primarily as a reaction against Christianity. Jesus’ message resonated through truth, kindness, grace, healing, and compassion. In contrast, Islam began with a demon in a cave and a narrative that fosters deception, coercion, and submission through fear and cruelty. While we have explored this topic in depth in previous discussions, it is essential to highlight that Islam stands in stark opposition to the core tenets of Christianity and seeks to eradicate it.

Yet, this moment presents an incredible opportunity for Christians to engage in discipleship. No one desires to live under the weight of forced submission day after day. Encouragingly, many individuals in Islamic nations are turning towards Christ and seeking the truth. It is our responsibility to extend compassion to these lost souls, who have been misled and indoctrinated. We should approach them without fear and remain steadfast in our beliefs, ready to guide them towards the light of Christ.

Many secular groups choose to embrace a wide array of beliefs, except for Jesus. Some even descend into the idea of believing in nothing, which paradoxically becomes everything, ultimately leading back to nothingness in death. Ideologies like Communism and totalitarianism elevate their leaders to a god-like status, often resulting in the suppression of religion once they seize power. This detachment from God creates a longing for acceptance; they are desperately seeking validation and a sense of belonging. As Christians, we have the opportunity to be that beacon of friendship. It’s not our role to change hearts—that’s God’s work. Instead, we can offer kindness, love, and grace, reflecting the compassion Jesus showed us during our own times of darkness. We must unwaveringly uphold the truth and firmly reject their lies and deception. Standing strong against misinformation is our duty.

Who is Israel?

This question has deeply divided the Christian community, highlighting the need for a thoughtful exploration of the Biblical perspective. To navigate this issue—and really, any issue—we must commit ourselves to study, prayer, and seeking divine wisdom and discernment. It’s essential to recognize our human tendency to sin, which often blinds us to the truth as we struggle to serve both God and wealth. Jesus warned us about this conflict in Matthew 6:24. It’s important to remember that, as 1 Timothy 6:10 states, the love of money is the root of all evil. Let’s strive to align our hearts and minds with God’s teachings.

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

Matthew 6:24 NKJV

“But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

1 Timothy 6:9-10

Always follow the money, it will lead to the source of evil. Let’s delve into what the Bible reveals about the seed of Abraham. First, it’s important to establish our agreement that the Triune God specifically chose Israel, originally named Jacob, the son of Isaac, who in turn was the son of Abraham, formerly known as Abram. This covenant is not up for debate; we recognize that Israel and the Jewish people play a pivotal role in the second coming of Jesus and in the grand tapestry of God’s divine plan. When God makes a covenant, it stands unconditionally.

However, the Bible clearly defines who the true seed of Abraham is in the New Testament, contrary to the claims of many so-called Christian Zionists who insist that Israel holds exclusive rights to this title. God established a covenant with Abraham, promising that his lineage would become a great nation, chosen by God. It’s important to point out that Christian Zionism is misleading. The term itself was coined by Theodor Herzl, an atheist and secular Jew, in 1897—someone who sought to divert and mislead Christians to push the establishment of a Jewish nation state. The reality is straightforward: you are either a believer in Jesus Christ or you are not. There’s no middle ground. To explore this further, consider the various cults that emerged in the mid to late 1800s, during a time when America was rising as a powerful Christian nation, and when Satan was actively seeking to undermine this foundation. Now, let’s refocus on our main topic. As Christians, we recognize the profound promises God made to Abraham in Genesis 12, in which He blessed Abram to grow a people devoted to Him.

“I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Genesis 12:3

Before anything else, let’s examine the flood—a pivotal moment of wrath brought upon humanity as they turned away from God. In their desire to be like God, humans fell into wickedness, as vividly illustrated in Genesis 6-10. The root of this corruption can be traced back to the fallen angels, captivated by the beauty of the daughters of men. Lucifer’s deceptive hand was at work, echoing the betrayal in the Garden of Eden when he led Adam and Eve astray.

Turning to Genesis 11, we find the story of the Tower of Babel, where humanity, unified by a single language and a desire for a one-world order, sought to elevate themselves to God’s level. This audacious ambition earned them God’s swift punishment as He scattered them and confused their language. What follows in the Old Testament is a powerful narrative of the tumultuous journey of God’s chosen people—a tapestry woven with stories of human frailty and the ever-present influence of Lucifer and his demons, who seize every opportunity to exploit human weaknesses.

Consider the tale of Abraham and Sarah, who took matters into their own hands, or Jacob, who deceitfully stole Esau’s birthright. Yet, amidst this human turmoil, God’s grace prevails; He wrestles with Jacob and transforms him into Israel. Then there’s the heart-wrenching story of Joseph, whose life is shattered by the jealousy of his brothers, followed by Moses and the years of Israelite slavery in Egypt. When delivered from bondage, these people chose to lament for their perceived comforts in slavery rather than express gratitude to God. This pattern of human disobedience has persisted for thousands of years, continuing through the ages of Judges, Kings, and Prophets. Amidst this backdrop of chaos, Jesus emerges as the ultimate call from God, sent to redeem His people one last time—fully divine and fully human. He began His ministry with the transformative Sermon on the Mount, a message for all, urging everyone to look inward and mend their hearts first. Time and again, Jesus demonstrated His authority over demons, illness, storms, and even death itself. Yet, the depth of wickedness and corruption within His people was profound. In light of all this, Jesus was resolute in His message, urging all of us to confront the truth of our condition and turn back to God. So Jesus was clear when He stated who He was here for:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” --John 14:6-7 ESV

And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood. --Luke 22:20

These are the words of Jesus Himself—not merely the teachings of the apostles or the interpretations of first-century church leaders. These are God’s words initiating the New Covenant with all people—both Jews and Gentiles. In fact, and to put it bluntly, the Middle East is a Christian land stolen by Satan’s armies, and Jerusalem is the home of Christ and is a Christian land.

Let me leave you with this thought: the largest gay pride event in the Middle East unfolds in Tel Aviv, Israel. The government of Israel funds free abortions, and desert raves are a regular occurrence. Deception by Jewish elites using usery to take advantage of people to enrich themselves. All this raises a critical question: Is this truly God’s vision for His people? As Christians, should we remain silent about such matters, or should we fearlessly address the evil that exists? Evil is evil, irrespective of who commits it. While humanity often turns its back on God, God remains steadfastly by our side. Time and again, in response to our wrongdoing, God sent His only Son—truly a part of Himself—to demonstrate His love and grace for us through Jesus. He left behind the Holy Spirit, a piece of Himself, to be our comfort and guide.

Christ came first for His chosen people, the Jews—but sadly, they rejected Him over and over. The Bible reveals that many Gentiles embraced faith more readily than the chosen Jews. Jesus handpicked His closest followers, the twelve apostles, all of whom were Jewish. Yet, those in positions of privilege within the Jewish community spread lies and deception, reminiscent of struggles we see today, manipulating the masses. This spreading of lies and deception is the dark aspect of the Jewish community that we must recognize and confront. Isaiah 5:20 calls us to identify and call out evil where we see it.

This pattern of failure among God’s people—both Jew and Gentile—persists to this day, and we must not turn a blind eye to it.

Who must you please?

Humans cannot overlook this pivotal truth: Our purpose is to honor Jesus above all else—above family, friends, society, religion, and political parties. Jesus made His message unmistakably clear. He came to create a division:

Not Peace, but a Sword

34“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. 37Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

Matthew 10:34-39 ESV

Choosing whom to follow is a fundamental decision we all face—will we follow Jesus or someone else? When He warns that He did not come to bring peace, it’s a powerful reminder that true discipleship can bring conflict, even among those we hold dear. Those closest to us may turn away, and the challenges we face can intensify as we draw nearer to God. I’ve experienced this firsthand; embracing a life fully devoted to Christ transforms every part of our existence. People around us will certainly take notice, often expressing both support and criticism. It’s crucial to recognize that as we deepen our faith, temptation will also increase. Therefore, we must be prepared to remove anyone who embodies evil from our lives. This commitment to follow Christ wholeheartedly demands sacrifice, but the rewards are immeasurable.

Share

Quiet Time: Matthew 8:1-4 Jesus Cleanses a Leper

Morning With Jesus

Brock Mergist

Share

I believe that dedicating daily time to connect with God is incredibly valuable. That’s why I’ve chosen to rise early and immerse myself in the Bible, engaging with scripture not only in the morning but also at night. I encourage fellow Christians to share their journeys and strategies for seeking the Lord, as we can learn so much from one another. Each year, I focus on a specific section of the Bible that resonates with where I am in life. This year, I’ve chosen to delve deeply into the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount, and I look forward to exploring other parts of the Gospels as well. While there are times I miss my designated mornings or evenings due to life’s distractions or poor time management, I strive to extend grace to myself, just as Jesus did when He encountered us in our wilderness.

My day typically begins between 4:30 and 5 AM, when I brush my teeth and listen to the Bible in a Year podcast during the Pray.com morning devotional, led by Jack Graham. It’s a meaningful way to start the day, and the Bible in a Year podcast complements this experience beautifully, offering a short 10 to 20-minute reflection that enhances the scripture through captivating storytelling. I also make it a point to send a Bible App verse of the day to a group chat with my kids, as it keeps us connected and engaged. When I miss these small morning rituals, I definitely feel a shift in my day.

By 5 or 5:30 AM, I aim to be at my table, ready to dive into God’s Word. I begin with a heartfelt prayer, humbly asking God to fill the space and me with the Holy Spirit, to grant me clarity, and to provide wisdom and discernment as I read. I pick up right where I left off the previous day, but at times, I incorporate scriptures from my Church notes. Additionally, I take inspiration from verses I encounter while listening to podcasts or sermons during my workouts, which I keep track of on my phone.

In the evenings, I open the Bible to the section I’m studying or to a passage that has resonated throughout my day. I’m considering changing my reading location since I usually read in bed, which can lead to procrastination. Moving to the living room or a chair in my room may help me stick to my night routine more effectively.

Another integral part of my Jesus Journey is setting aside time for silence. Admittedly, I haven’t been as consistent with this as I’d like, but my goal is to establish at least thirty minutes of silence each night. This technique involves disconnecting from all electronics and noise, allowing myself to sit in stillness, listen, and pray. I keep a notebook handy for any insights or instructions that God may impress upon my heart. It’s important to focus your mind through prayer, asking God to quiet your thoughts and fill the space around and in you with the Holy Spirit. While I don’t manage to do this as often as I would like, when I do, I feel an incredible sense of peace—particularly when I’m fasting or when I'm enjoying the beauty of nature, whether sitting outside or feeling the grass beneath my feet.

Whatever your routine with God may develop into, I pray you embrace consistency and obedience. I invite you to share your own techniques, as we can all learn and inspire each other along our Jesus Journeys.

Today’s Quiet Time

Matthew 8:1-4 Jesus Cleanses a Leper

1When he came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him. 2And behold, a lepercame to him and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.” 3And Jesusstretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 4And Jesus said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a proof to them.”

The verse that stood out to me this morning: v2

My reflection:

This healing miracle shows Jesus’ power over everything, compassion for His children, and willingness to meet us where we are. As Jesus’ fame grew, people who believed and had faith in His power came to Him for healing. This man had lepercy—a skin diease that was a death sentence. This man’s faith and brokenness is symbolic to our broken lives; if we prostrate ourselves before God and truly believe He can cure us—He will. Jesus met this man where he was, broken and dying, and healed him. Jesus is willing to heal us and meet us in our pit of sin and uncleanliness because Jesus came to heal the lost.

I truly hope this resonates with anyone on their journey with Jesus who finds it challenging to carve out time for reading or seeking God. You are not alone in this struggle; it’s something we all face. Take it one day at a time, and consider surrounding yourself with Jesus-worshipping believers who can uplift, guide, and disciple you on your path. Each of us benefits from discipleship, and there may be someone in your life who is further along in their relationship with Jesus and can offer invaluable support. May God bless you abundantly as you embark on this incredible journey toward eternity!

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Matthew 6:33 ESV

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Joshua 1:8 NIV

Subscribe now

Islam Is at War with Christians

Christian Sheepdogs

Brock Mergist

Share

I recently had the opportunity to listen to an impactful podcast featuring Martin and Millicent Sedra, where they bravely confront the challenges posed by Islam both in America and around the globe. Leading Echo Church in Australia, they don’t shy away from discussing these critical issues.

Martin’s story is particularly compelling. Born in Egypt as a Christian, he grew up under the shadow of discrimination and death threats due to his faith. His father, a dedicated pastor, exemplified unwavering courage and devotion, preaching the message of Jesus despite the constant danger—a powerful testament to Christian resilience in the face of adversity.

Millicent, hailing from Australia, has been a lifelong follower of Jesus, nurtured by the strong Christian values instilled in her by her parents. She passionately advocates for women, speaking truth into a society that often seeks to twist and undermine the divine purpose for women.
